Supply Chain Disclosure
Recently, the state of California passed the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act with the purpose of ensuring that companies like ours disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their supply chains. To that end, and consistent with our commitment to conducting business in an ethical, socially responsible and lawful manner, we support the eradication of human trafficking and slavery and fully expect our suppliers to conduct their business in the same manner. The Dannon Company, Inc. has taken the following actions to identify and eliminate human trafficking and slavery from our supply chains:
1. Dannon has developed company standards with regard to fundamental social, environmental and business ethics principles, which prohibit the use of forced labor or child labor. These standards are incorporated into our standard supply agreements and our direct suppliers are asked to certify their compliance with these standards.
2. Violations of the Dannon’s principles and procedures may be reported through Dannon’s internal audit alert system DIALERT. All messages are kept strictly confidential and investigated internally.
