Children's Day   Give Kids The World

Dannon employees attending the 2006 Dannon National Convention in Orlando, Florida volunteered their time to help families visiting Give Kids the World Village®. This extraordinary 70-acre non-profit facility creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Give Kids the World Village provides accommodations, as well as donates attractions tickets, and meals for each family to enjoy a week-long visit. Since it was founded in 1986, Give Kids the World has hosted over 75,000 families from all 50 states and 53 countries.

Nearly 240 Dannon employees helped with landscaping, painting, sorting donations, cleaning and other tasks to keep the Village looking wonderful and running smoothly. Dannon also donated yogurt, water and other items to families visiting for the week. Dannon volunteers ended their afternoon with a special closing ceremony and a surprise donation – ten waterproof wheelchairs to be used by Give Kids the World visitors today and tomorrow.

Since 2003, Dannon employees have participated in Dannon Cares volunteer service events in the communities that have hosted our company conventions. Through all of these activities, Dannon has exemplified its commitment to improving the health and well-being of the people living in the community.
