| The Dannon Company today announced the introduction of Actimel, a cultured dairy supplement drink with ten times more beneficial cultures than yogurt, into Whole Foods Market ® stores nationally. Actimel is currently available in Whole Foods Market stores on the east coast and will rollout throughout the national grocery chain by the end of November. Actimel has been clinically shown to help strengthen the body's natural defenses.*
Actimel, the "Little Bottle with a Big Defense," is made with 10 billion live and active L. Casei cultures and helps strengthen the body's natural defenses* by having a favorable effect on beneficial bacteria in the digestive system that helps the functioning of the digestive tract's immune system. Probiotics are live microbial food ingredients that, when consumed in sufficient quantities, exert health benefits on the individual who consumes them, beyond basic nutrition. The suggested retail price for a four-pack of Actimel is $2.39 (prices many vary according to market.) Actimel is available in orange, vanilla and original flavors.
