Program Description: In honor of its 60th anniversary, The Dannon Company has joined with America's Second Harvest to recognize Americans who are helping to alleviate the nation's hunger problem through its search for Families Feeding America. The Dannon Company is committed to the fight against hunger and will be working with America's Second Harvest in the upcoming year on more programs dedicated to this effort. Prizes Grand Prize - One Winner Winning Family - $1,000 in free groceries Hunger Relief Charity of Choice - $10,000 donation Runners-Up - Four Winners Winning Family - $1,000 in free groceries Hunger Relief Charity of Choice - $1,000 donation Entry Statistics The Families Feeding America program received hundreds of entries from 36 states nationwide. Winners Grand Prize Evelyn Browne organizes an annual Halloween themed food drive called "It's Spooky to be Hungry." The program has 1,000 volunteers and gathered over 35,000 lbs. of food last year to donate to the Golden Harvest Food Bank near Augusta, Georgia.
