| THE DANNON COMPANY SELECTS MPG AS MEDIA PLANNING AND BUYING AGENCY FOR NORTH AMERICA |

The Dannon Company, Inc. announced today that following a competitive review MPG has been appointed agency of record for North America for Dannon's and Danone's advertising media strategy, planning and buying. MPG will assume responsibility for media buying on January 1, 2007, and the incumbent agencies, MediaCom in the U.S and Carat in Canada, will continue planning and buying for the balance of 2006. "We are impressed with MPG's strategic counsel, depth of market knowledge and well-established, integrated management of the U.S. and Canadian markets," said Andreas Ostermayr, Senior Vice President of Marketing, The Dannon Company. The agency review was led by Dannon's Sourcing & Supplier Development team and Ostermayr's marketing team. MPG secured the account in North America in a process that included Carat, OMD as well as MediaCom.
