Dannon has partnered with America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network – to help feed hungry children and their families throughout the United States. The partnership features a Dannon Drive to End Hunger truck traveling on a cross-country tour that is making stops at more than 100 grocery stores from Southern California to New England to raise charitable donations that will provide approximately 400,000 meals for hungry children and their families. When shoppers at each tour stop purchase a Dannon product, a donation is made from Dannon to food banks in the local area. Participating shoppers can help fill a custom-designed Dannon Drive to End Hunger truck with empty Dannon yogurt cups as a symbol of the donations made with their purchase. Each participating shopper also receives a Dannon-branded key chain.

The tour is also being supported at participating retail grocery accounts with chain-wide ads and point of sale displays.

“As a major manufacturer of wholesome and nutritious foods, Dannon seeks innovative ways to help ensure the nutritional health of children in our communities,” said Juan Carlos Dalto, President & CEO of The Dannon Company, Inc.

The Drive to End Hunger tour kicked off in July with visits to grocery stores in Southern California and will continue with stops in Grand Rapids, Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Boston. The tour concludes in October. Visit www.dannon.com/endhunger to view the truck’s progress.

“We are extremely grateful to Dannon for their efforts to help us feed so many families across the nation,” said Robert Forney, President and CEO of America’s Second Harvest. “The Drive to End Hunger not only helps us to provide much-needed meals, it also helps us to raise awareness of the endemic problem of malnutrition and hunger in communities throughout the U.S.”

In addition to the Drive to End Hunger mobile tour, Dannon will also be contributing $1 for every “click” received at www.dannon.com (up to a total of $75,000). Every $1 donated helps America’s Second Harvest provide 15 meals to children in need.
