Paul Messina
Vice President of Supply Chain
The Dannon Company, Inc.
Paul Messina was appointed vice president of supply
chain and became a member of the executive committee in June 2002. Paul
is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the
logistics, planning and customer service activities for The Dannon Company,
Inc. in the United States.
In 1979, Messina began his career with The Dannon
Company in transportation and route management. As the role of logistics
emerged in the dairy industry as an important contributor for company
value, service and profitability, so did the role here in DANNON. The
DANNON logistics organization under Messina began to evolve into a more
comprehensive supply chain organization focused on value added services
and efficient flow of goods and raw materials. In his tenure Messina has
been responsible for the development and transition from an internal DSD
operation to the current 3PL logistics network servicing client warehouses
nationally. He also has developed and centralized under supply chain the
planning operations group, which includes forecasting, deployment and
materials procurement.
Messina is a graduate of Manhattan College and earned
his bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing.
Presently he resides in Allentown, PA, with his wife Janice and two children.
