Gustavo Valle was appointed President and CEO of The Dannon Company, Inc. on April 1, 2009. He has extensive international background in the packaged goods industry and will have strategic and direct responsibilities for dairy products in the United States.

Mr. Valle joined Danone Argentina in 1996 as Chief Financial Officer and became CEO of Danone Waters Argentina in 2002. Two years later, he was appointed CEO of Danone Brazil, responsible for managing a 550 MM USD business along with a brand portfolio of regional and global power brands competing in Fresh Dairy Products and Waters. Prior to joining Groupe Danone, Mr. Valle began his career in 1983 at Bunge, a global food company, progressing to the role of Business Controller.

Mr. Valle holds a degree in Economics from Buenos Aires University in Argentina.

Mr. Valle is an Argentine citizen and has two teenage sons with wife Monica. He has a passion for fishing and playing the guitar.
